Peripheral Nerve Decompression
Abourt Peripheral Nerve Decompression Surgery
Nerve decompression surgery is any operation with the aim to alleviate pressure on a nerve, or/and open up any narrow spaces to give the nerve more room. Peripheral nerve decompression surgery refers to conditions that begin somewhere other than the spine. Examples include carpal tunnel syndrome (wrist) and cubital tunnel syndrome (elbow). Patients suitable for nerve decompression surgery have typically already tried without success conservative methods such as anti-inflammatory medication and physical therapy.
